Office Crush #2

I can't believe it's Monday again and it's time to get my head back focused into another working week! So to get myself in the 'zone', let's have a look at another beautiful office for a little inspiration!

This week's office inspiration comes from the magazine Style at Home and i agree with them, the first thing to catch my eye is the beautiful chevron rug! It's amazing what a different a fresh, patterned rug can give a room isn't it? Combine that with the clean white furniture and the colour of those blue chairs and i've instantly got an Office Crush!

Office Mondays

I can't believe it's Monday morning again! Where do the weekends go?
Now i have to confess i'm pretty much the worst morning person you could meet and it takes a lovely large cup of tea To get me up out of bed on a Monday.
I'm sure i can't be the only one who requires such persuasion and i'm even more certain i'm not the only one who spends most of the early part of a Monday daydreaming about how wonderful the weekend was!

So, today i bring you a new feature to Paper Crush. Something a little different i'd like to try - Office Mondays - each week i will share an inspirational office space to firstly brighten up our mornings, but also hopefully give us all some ideas of how we can beat the Monday blues with updates to our office spaces!

I've been really inspired recently by the new book from decor8's Holly Becker - Decorate with Flowers. It really got me thinking about how effective adding a simple pop of colour to a room can make such a difference. Take today's Office Monday for example, as soon as i saw this it made me want to sit at that desk for my entire working week!

I just love the colour of those flowers against the white background, and the scrapbooking wall is so beautiful yet feels personal too! Full credit to the photographer, Annetta Bosakova, who has a rather lovely blog i'd recommend too at Inspired by Annetta

Top Picks: Not On The High Street Sale

If there's one thing we all love more than seeing new collections in our favourite stores, it's seeing that lovely little word landing in our inbox...SALE!

NOTHS sale

I've been a fan of Not On The High Street for a long time and over the past few years i've discovered (and purchased!) a lot of unique gifts for friends and family, treats for my home and more greetings cards than i can remember. I love the ethos behind the website supporting smaller creative businesses and as a consumer i find shopping with them just rather exciting! It might just be me, but i never go to NOTHS with a plan of exactly what i'm going to buy just who i'm buying for and then i can spend literally hours exploring until i have that super satisfying 'this is perfect!' moment.

I can't say this about many shops, so i'm really excited to share that moment with you today by sharing my top 5 sale picks!

hello postcard
Send some happy post with these beautiful hand lettered positive postcards from The Green Gables. I love how you can choose between 12 different positive words to brighten up someone's day. Although i think my favourite has to be 'peachy'!

To get yourself organised in style, these A4 leather folders from Deservedly-So have already sold out in several colours but are still available in the super beautiful spearmint green and poppy red (as pictured). These can also be embossed to make them personalised - definitely one for the wishlist!

It's nearly the end of the school year so why not treat that special teacher in your life (or perhaps just yourself!) with a personalised pencil case from 3 Blonde Bears - i love how simple these are but make such a unique gift! It's been a good few years since i was at school but i remember that first day back each year in September was a frenzy of who's got the best new pencil case - think this might be a winner!
The summer is here and with the sunshine always comes a season of adventure. If you've been reading Paper Crush for a little while you'll know how much i love the colour mint at the moment so this journal from Nancy and Betty Studio is right up my street as a little place to capture all of these adventures. Oh, and it's 75% off in the sale!
beautiful pencilsI've feautred Katie Leamon before on Paper Crush as i've got quite a big crush on her greeting cards. So discovering these pencils in the sale has been quite the treat this weekend! A lovely little gift for those starting wedding plans or planning new creative ventures over the summer!

Have you bought anything in the sale yet? There's nearly 20,000 items in the sale so pretty sure there's something for everyone!

DIY Paper Bunting

Well it's been a rather busy weekend making plans for the next couple of months - i have a few parties to start preparing for that i'd really like to add my own little twist to, so i've been doing a little standard Pinterest research for inspiration.

If you follow my boards, you'll know i LOVE paper bunting and i've found some really great ideas and tutorials that can be made at home to really impress my guests:

I love how simple yet beautiful this design is and is one i can't wait to make just for my home - i love the idea of experimenting with shapes and colours but keeping the really rustic feel with the handpicked twigs. Tutorial available via Whimsy Darling

I was so excited to spot this pretty patterned bunting with pegs holding each of the triangles - such an easy way to add a more sophisticated edge to bunting. Tutorial available via Odessa May Society

A really fun tassled garland can be made from any of your favourite coloured and patterned tissues paper. I love the combination of mint and spotted metallics on this one! Tutorial available via Vivid Please

So simple, yet with the right colours tied up near a window this is perfect for adding a little summer fun to your home or party. Tutorial available via High Plains Thrifter

Okay so this is more of a purchase, but could easily be replicated if you fancy a spot of DIY. I absolutely love the combination of shapes here, mixing up the traditional triangular bunting with a spotty option is perfect for parties! Option pictured available via Le Jeune at Etsy

Hope you feel as inspired as i do - would love to know if you've tried any of the tutorials!

Mini Trend: Jungle Fever

Hello hello!

How are you all?
I can't believe how quickly time has flown by. I had an amazing time on my trip away and have landed back in the country to a beautiful, sunny June!
When did June happen!?
Apparently i've missed some pretty crazy wash-outs but it's so nice to be back home, sitting in the garden with a cup of tea.

Spending all of this time outdoors over the past couple of days i've already started daydreaming of an actual summer holiday, which has naturally led to a lot of time spent googling exotic locations...(hello Bali!) Anyway, one thing inevitably leads to another and i've found myself obsessing over jungle prints on cushions, Kate Spade's Toucan sandals and of course lots of stationery! There seems to be a bit of a mini trend at the moment for these exotic locations with fun, quirky prints starting to pop up quite regularly on my Pinterest feed.
So, in honour of this mini trend, i've picked out my top three products to share in this with you - let me know what you think!

As always, all products featured are available on the world wide web - jungle animals wrapping paper via Wrap, pocket notebooks via Rifle Paper Co and Zebra card via Carrie May at Lagom Design
